Australian Police Officer Leaves The Force For Charitable Causes

A police officer from Australia has been recognized nationally for being one of the most selfless people in the country. After a competition which focused on looking at both charitable organisations as well as individuals to determine which were the best and honourable a police officer from Sydney won. Commended for his 10 years of work in the police force as well as lifetime contribution to charitable causes what really caught the attention of the public was his leaving of his career to dedicate his life fully to the development of charitable organisations. Wish to remain unnamed this police officer gave the following statement when interviewed.

“I always had a passion for helping people and giving back to the community and that is why I became a police officer in the first place, however after 10 years I discovered I that I was enforcing the law rather than helping”.

“I had a 30-minute conversation with a very intelligent homeless man and it changed my perspective and right that second I decided to leave the police”.

For the last few years this police officer has been involved in the direct development of over 50 different charitable initiatives which have helped over 14,000 people. Not only time was given but also philanthropic funding.

It is important to remember that while it is good to help people in need it is equally important to help people who are in charge of keeping the community safe on a daily basis.
